Literature Text
The stars are falling - his first thought, upon
The sight of snow, before today unseen;
Descending vectors, fractal-point are drawn
Across the vision-scope of the machine.
The robot’s palm extends; his pixeled eyes
Record, by frames, what metal cannot feel
And neural nets unbidden analyze
The sight of frozen water over steel.
Behind him stands the conference hall, whose door
Projects inviting warmth on salted stairs -
And here, in laughing groups of two and four
(And wrapped in coats of other mammals’ hairs)
The first distinguished scientists arrive
To argue over whether he’s alive.

Tractatus
perhaps it's illogical
the way i count your eyelashes
when you sleep
i had gotten so high one night
that i swore i climbed them
like ladders leading towards
the place where you held thoughts
that you kept secreted away
i saw the first moment you knew
that i would break your heart
and it was okay that my name
echoed in your head when i mis-stepped
and caused a grimace and then a smile
were you an infant it would have been
attributed to some sort of gas
i found out that you loved the way
i could not commit to a thing
especially you.

Snowfall Dances
Settling softly
A graceful fall
Pirouetting in crystal air
A dance of elegance
Lost in the multitude
Ended by the earth's firm kiss.
The snowflake sinks
Into a bed of brethren
Becomes one with all
Singularity surrendered
To join the Drift
In blissful anonymity.
Motionless
That which was
Lies silent
Smothered and smothering
Awaiting thaw
And Spring's release.
One wonders
Does it now regret
The fall from grace
Abandoning its dance
Or does it slumber, fury faded
Knowing peace at last?

One From Two
I'm waiting for you to arrive;
My passion is starting to revive.
Hypnotized by our front door,
I don't think that I can wait anymore.
Anxiousness is breaking in,
And my patience is wearing a gypsy's grin.
When are you gonna be home?
I am restless here when I'm all alone.
So, the moment you're through that door,
I'm gonna pounce and tackle you to the floor,
And kiss your angel face,
So you know you're home in the perfect place.
And later, somewhere in the hall,
I'm gonna randomly grind you against the wall,
And wrap myself up in you;
Pressing close enough to make one from two.
My heart is beating way too fast.
There's not eno

Beautiful! I love every line of it! Your poetry's improved (and still improving) so much, Brian - you're getting farther and farther beyond the putting me to shame point!
You manage the sonnet form and the rhyming in it beautifully - you've lost the sing-song feel all your rhyming poetry had years ago and your voice keeps getting better and better. Bravo, my dear!
